BRS MATTHEW.09

Updated: Dec 18, 2023

1 YAHUSHA got into a boat and went back across the lake to His own town. 2 Some people brought to Him a man who was paralysed and was lying on a mat. YAHUSHA saw that these people had stacks of belief. So He said to the paralysed man, “Young man, Cheer up and be strong, for your sins are now forgiven.” 3 Some of the Scribes heard what YAHUSHA said, and they said to themselves, “What insult and blasphemy is this … no one can say that!” 4 But YAHUSHA knew what they were thinking, so He said, “Why do you think such wicked thoughts in your hearts? 5 “For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins have been forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But in order for you to know that the Son of Man has all authority on Earth to forgive sins...” He then turned to the paralysed man and said, “Rise, take up your bed, and go home.” 7 And the man got up and went home. 8 And when the crowds saw it, they marvelled and praised Yahuah, Who had given such authority to a man.

9 When YAHUSHA was leaving, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the place for collecting taxes. YAHUSHA said to him, “Hey mate, follow Me.” So he got up and followed YAHUSHA. 10 And YAHUSHA ate dinner at Matthew’s house that night. Many tax collectors, sinners and people with bad reputations came and ate with Him and His followers too.

11 Then the Pharisees walked past and saw that YAHUSHA was eating with these sorts of people. So they asked His Disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12 And YAHUSHA hearing this, said to them, “It is the sick people who need the doctor, not those who are healthy. 13 So go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion (KINDNESS) not offering (ANIMAL SACRIFICE). For I did not come to call the righteous to repentance, but the sick and the sinners.”

14 Then the followers of John (the immerser) came to YAHUSHA and said, “We and the Pharisees fast often, but Your followers never fast. Why? What’s that about dude?” 15 YAHUSHA answered, “At a wedding the friends of the bridegroom are not sad while he is with them, so they don’t fast and mourn do they? But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them. Then they will fast! 16 “When someone sews a patch over a hole in an old coat, they never use a piece of cloth that has not already been shrunk. For if they do, the patch will shrink and pull away from the coat. Then the hole will be worse. 17 Also, people never pour new wine into old wineskins, for they would burst, and the wine would spill out, and the wineskins would be ruined. People always put new wine into new wineskins, which won’t break, and the wine stays good.”

(THE NEW SPIRIT OF YAHUSHA CAN NEVER BE POURED INTO AN OLD VESSEL AND HIS LIVING WORDS CANNOT BE WRITTEN ONTO AN OLD HEART OF STONE. A DIVINE OPERATION MUST OCCUR, TO CUT OUT THE OLD HEART, AND NAIL THE OLD MAN TO THE STAKE, AND BURY IT UNDER THE WATER OF IMMERSION SO THAT A NEW MAN WILL RISE OUT OF THE WATER, WITH A NEW HEART, NEW SPIRIT AND NEW BLOOD-COVENANT UPON HIM - TO WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE AND BEHAVIOUR).

18 While YAHUSHA was still talking, a ruler came to Him. The leader bowed down before Him and said, “My daughter has just died. But if You will come and touch her with Your hand, she will live again.” 19 So YAHUSHA and His followers went with the man. 20 On the way, there was a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. She crept up close behind YAHUSHA and touched the hem of His garment, 21 for she was thinking, “If I can only touch His garment, I will be healed.” 22 Then YAHUSHA suddenly turned and when He saw the woman, He said, “Cheer up My daughter and take courage, for your trust in Me has healed you.” And the woman was healed.

23 YAHUSHA continued going with the Ruler and went into his house, where He saw people there making music for funerals. And He saw a crowd of people crying loudly. 24 YAHUSHA said, “Go away! The girl’s not even dead. She’s just asleep.” But the people laughed at Him. 25 But after the people were put out of the house, YAHUSHA went into the girl’s room. He held the girl’s hand, and the girl stood up. 26 And the news about this spread all around the area. 27 As YAHUSHA was going away from there, two blind men followed Him. They said loudly, “Show kindness to us, Son of David.” 28 YAHUSHA went inside, and the blind men went with him. He asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to make you see again?” They answered, “Yes Master, we believe.” 29 Then YAHUSHA touched their eyes and said, “Just as you believe, let it happen.” 30 Then the men were able to see. And YAHUSHA gave them a strong warning, saying, “Don’t tell anyone about this.” 31 But they left and spread the news about YAHUSHA all around that area.

32 As these two men were leaving, some people brought another man to YAHUSHA. This man could not talk because he had a demon inside him. 33 YAHUSHA forced the demon out, and the man was able to talk again. The people were amazed and said, “We have never seen anything like this in Yisharal.” 34 But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons!”

35 YAHUSHA traveled through all the towns and villages. He taught in their Synagogues and told people the Good News about Alahim's Reign. He healed all kinds of diseases and sicknesses. 36 And seeing the crowds, YAHUSHA felt sorry for them, for they were weary and scattered - like sheep without a shepherd to lead them. 37 And YAHUSHA said to His Disciples, “There is such a big harvest of people to bring in. But there are only a few workers to help harvest them. 38 YAHUAH is the Master of the harvest, so ask Him to send more workers to help gather His harvest.”
