1 So, my brothers and sisters, those chosen by Alahim to be His Set-Apart people and partakers of the heavenly calling, think about YAHUSHA. He is the one we believe Alahim sent to deliver us and to be our great High Priest. 2 Alahim made Him our High Priest, and He was trustworthy to Alahim just as Moses was in all his house. 3 When someone builds a house, people will honour the builder more than the house. It is the same with YAHUSHA. He should have more honour than Moses. 4 For every house is built by someone, but Alahim built everything. 5 Moses was indeed trustworthy as a servant in Alahim’s whole house, declaring to the people what Alahim would say in the future. 6 But Messiah is trustworthy in ruling Alahim’s house as the Son. And we are Alahim’s house, if we remain confident of the great hope we are glad to say we have.
7 So it is just as Alahim's Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, 8 don’t be stubborn and hard-hearted as you were in the past, in the days of the rebellious provocation, when you turned against Alahim. 9 For 40 years, your fathers tested Me in the wilderness, despite seeing everything I did. But they tested My patience, mocking Me! 10 So I was furiously angry with that generation. I said, ‘Their thoughts are wrong and their heart are always going astray. They have never known My ways.’ 11 So I was furious and made a promise: ‘They will never enter My REST.’”
12 So, brothers and sisters, be careful that none of you has the same evil thoughts that cause so much doubt that you stop following the living Alahim. 13 But encourage each other every day, while it is still called “today.” Yes, help each other so that none of you will be fooled by sin and become too hard to change. 14 We have the honour of sharing in all that Messiah has if we continue steadfast, enduring until the end to have the sure trusting-belief we had in the beginning. 15 That’s why the Spirit said, “If you hear Alahim’s voice today, don’t be stubborn and harden your hearts as in the rebellion, when you turned against Alahim.”
16 Who were those who heard Alahim’s voice and turned against Him? It was all the people Moses led out of Egypt. 17 And who was Alahim angry with for 40 years? He was angry with those who sinned. And their dead bodies were left in the wilderness. 18 And which people was Alahim talking to when He promised that they would never enter His place of rest? He was talking to those who did not obey Him. 19 So we see that they were not allowed to enter into the true REST because of unbelief!
