BRS 1 PETER.01

Greetings from Peter, a follower and Disciple of YAHUSHA MESSIAH.

1 To all the chosen people who are scattered all over the areas of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. 2 Alahim planned long ago to choose you and (by His Spirit) make you His Set-Apart people, and through the sprinkling of YAHUSHA’S blood, you are all made clean. So I pray that you’ll enjoy more and more favour and peace through Him.

3 Praise be to the only Living Alahim and Father of our Master YAHUSHA MESSIAH. For through His compassion and love, we have been born anew, begotten from above and given a new life, which brings us a great expectation and living hope through YAHUSHA MESSIAH’S resurrection from the dead. 4 Now we wait to receive the incorruptible blessings and inheritance He has for His people. Blessings being kept in the Heaven undefiled and unfading, unable to be ruined or destroyed or ever lose their beauty.

5 The power of YAHUSHA protects you through your belief, and it keeps you safe until your deliverance is revealed and ready to be given to you at the end of time. 6 I know the thought of that is so exciting, even if you must suffer through different kinds of troubles and trials for a short time now. 7 Don’t forget that these current troubles test your trusting belief and prove that it’s pure. And such belief is worth more than gold to YAHUSHA, for the purity of gold can only be proved by fire, but physical gold perishes and fades. But when your belief has proven to be pure, the result will be praise and esteem and honour at the revelation and return of YAHUSHA MESSIAH.

8 You have not seen YAHUSHA, but you still love Him. You can’t see Him now, but you believe in Him. You are filled with a wonderful and Heavenly joy that cannot be explained. 9 Your belief has a goal, and you are indeed reaching that goal, which is your deliverance!

10 The Prophets studied carefully and tried to learn about this deliverance. They spoke about the favour that was coming to you. 11 The Spirit of our Messiah was in those Prophets. And the Spirit was speaking about the sufferings that would happen to Him and about the esteem that would come after those sufferings. The Prophets tried to learn about what the Spirit was showing them - when it would happen and what the world would be like at that time.

12 It was made clear to them that their service was not for themselves. They were serving you when they spoke about the things you’ve now heard. Of course, you heard about it from those who offered you the Good News of deliverance through the power of YAHUSHA’S Spirit sent from Heaven. Even the Angels would really like to know more about these things that you were told.

13 So prepare your hearts for service (gird up the loins of your mind, being sober, awake and conscious). With complete self-control, put all your hope and expectation in the favour that will be yours very soon, at the revelation of YAHUSHA MESSIAH (THAT HE IS ALAHIM THE LAMB, RETURNING FOR US!)

14 In the past, you did not have the understanding you have now, so you behaved whatever ignorant lusts and evil you wanted to do. But now you are YAHUSHA’S Bride, so you should obey Him and not live or behave the way you did before. 15 Be clean and Set-Apart in everything you do, just as YAHUSHA is Set-Apart, for He is the One Who chose you. 16 Remember in the Scriptures Alahim says, “Be Set-Apart, just as I am Set-Apart.” LEVITICUS 11:44 & 19:2 & 20:7

17 You call on the Father, Who judges everyone the same way, by the way they behave (which is their works). So while you’re travelling through this earth-life, you should live with fear and respect for YAHUSHA. 18 You know that in the past, the way you existed (just breathing in and out) was dead, empty, and your life was futile and useless, with no meaning or purpose. It was a way of life you learned from those who lived before you. But you were delivered from that way of life. As YAHUSHA'S firstborn, you were bought back (and redeemed), not with payments (of silver coins like Israel of old was) that ruin and perish. 19 You were bought with the precious blood of YAHUSHA’S death. He was a pure, spotless, and perfect Sacrificial Lamb. 20 YAHUSHA was established before the world was even created, but was revealed and manifest to the world in these last times just for you.

21 You believe in Alahim through MESSIAH YAHUSHA. Alahim is the one who raised Him from the dead and gave all honour and authority to Him. So your belief and your hope are in YAHUSHA now. 22 You have made yourselves pure by obeying the truth. Now you can have true love for your brothers and sisters. So love each other deeply and fervently, passionately and genuinely with all your heart. 23 Remember you’ve been born anew from above, not of corruptible seed, but through YAHUSHA’S incorruptible seed, and you were reborn through YAHUSHA’S life-giving Words that last forever. 24 For the Scriptures say, “Our lives are like the grass of spring, and any esteem we enjoy is like the beauty of a wildflower. The grass dries up and dies, and the flower falls to the ground. 25 But the Living Word of Alahim endures and lasts forever.” And that Word is the Good News that was offered to you.
