Where are the Spirits of the Nephilim?

I don't believe demons are disembodied spirits of the nephilim. I believe they were dealt with at the flood, destroyed, body and spirit. If not "SHOW US THE SCRIPTURE IN TURAH WITHOUT SUPPOSITION, WHERE THIS IS QUOTED." The fallen angels who did this dreadful sin to form giants with the women of the world are chained by Yahuah until judgement day - how wonderful is this news . . . Hallelujah.

Question: "Are the demons the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim?"

Answer: As a background, please read our articles on “Who were the sons of God in Genesis 6:1-4?”, and “Who were the Nephilim?” With the understanding that the sons of God were the fallen angels, and that the Nephilim were the hybrid offspring of the union between the fallen angels and human women, the question then arises, What happened to the spirits of the Nephilim after they were killed, whether by the flood, or in the case of the possible post-flood Nephilim (Genesis 6:4; Numbers 13:33), after the flood?

Some speculate that the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim remained on the earth and became what we now refer to as demons. The presumption is that, as angelic-human hybrids, the spirits of the Nephilim would have been different from the human soul-spirit, having the ability to remain present in this world despite no longer having a physical body. This would possibly explain the desire the demons have to possess human beings, thus gaining control over a physical body. This would also make some sense from the perspective of the fallen angels, who are outnumbered 2-1 by the holy angels, giving them a good reason to seek to increase their ranks.

The Nephilim explanation for the origin of the demons is partly the result of a misunderstanding of who exactly are the “spirits in prison” in 1 Peter 3:19 (see also Jude 6). Many misunderstand the “spirits in prison” to be all of the fallen angels who rebelled against God. If all of the fallen angels are imprisoned, then there must be an alternate explanation for the existence of demons; thus, the need for the Nephilim explanation. However, clearly, not all of the fallen angels are imprisoned. Satan, the leader of the angelic rebellion against God, is not imprisoned. Why would God allow the rebel leader to remain free but then confine the angels who followed Satan in the rebellion? No, it makes more sense to understand the “spirits in prison” as the fallen angels who participated in an additional rebellion, viz., the sons-of-God/daughters–of-men incident. The fallen angels who mated with human females are the ones who are imprisoned. There is no solid biblical reason to reject the idea that the demons are the same beings as the fallen angels.

The idea that the demons are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim is also drawn from the book of Enoch, which goes into great detail regarding the Nephilim. We have to remember that, while the book of Enoch contains some truth (Jude 14), it is not the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. We should never base a belief exclusively, or even primarily, on extra-biblical literature. So, with no need to explain the existence of demons outside of the fallen angels, and with no clear evidence in Scripture for the spirits of the Nephilim continuing on Earth, there is no solid basis on which to identify the demons with the spirits of the Nephilim. While the idea is possible, it cannot be derived explicitly from Scripture, and therefore should not be considered the best explanation of the origin of the demons.

Hi Friends it's 01:25 am in South Africa and can't sleep, I'm sorry I find it hard to believe that angels mated with humans and produced baby giants. How can wind/spirits impregnate women? Greek and Romans always mixed thier demigods with humans in fairy tales and this is another thing which they have made up and gotten results by use beleiving such nonesense. The word does not support this for as written in Heb 1:5 For to which of the angels did God ever say: “You are my Son; today I have become Your Father”? Or again: “I will be His Father, and He will be My Son”? And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all God’s angels worship Him.”

In Genesis 6:4, the KJV states that there were already gaints in the land when those made in the image of the MH begin to mix with the regular people of the land.

Take note: Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, WHEN the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. WHEN means at the time during or in the same occurence.

So lets put this in todays time as it is happening now as it was said to happen again. A Gaint is nothing more than a tryrant or someone who oppresses and does not follow the laws of the MH such as our leaders in government and sons of God are Hebrews who date and marry women of other cultures such as Tiger Woods dad. The men of reknown are men of fame or well known whom are called stars today, Tthey mislead as they are bigger than life and many of the earth look up to them whether they be millionaires, actors, singers or dancers.

So this is just a bit of understanding as to what you tend to reserve as fallacy. It is good that you do. Those were the mighty men who were of old, the men of name. Yes brother, you are right when you say it is your problem of unbelief. But here it is in the Turah telling us the truth, that the fallen angles procreated with the women of earth, who bore children that became giants. Mixing DNA was always a dangerous occupation it almost wiped out the true bloodline of the creation, which was preserved in Noak. This is why we are still here today brother because the nephilim were procreating with almost all animals and humans corrupting the blood lines. Satan's plan. Giants came in all shapes and sizes, some were the normal size of men but still had the DNA of "giantees" having six digits on their hands and feet.
